My husband and I stayed at your motel over the Labor Day weekend and it was a very enjoyable stay. I was a little apprehensive staying in a motel I knew nothing about and found over the Internet. I worried about cleanliness, crime and the nature of the other clientele. I was pleasantly surprised and no longer have any concerns. The room and pool were very clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We have a favorite motel at our favorite vacation spot in Ruidoise, NM and my dream was to find a similar motel in Austin. I thought it was a long shot, but I was wrong. That ideal motel turned out to be The Heart of Texas Motel. We will be back!

The Heart of Texas Motel is a clean, comfortable, and friendly place to stay while in Austin. Our non-smoking rooms (we've stayed there twice) have been free of musty, moldy, odors. One amenity that we particularly enjoyed are the two separate sets of sinks and vanity mirrors. One in the bathroom, where you can shut the door for privacy, and one outside in the larger vanity area. That was great! --

As you know, I've been staying at your motel for over a year on an almost bi-weekly basis.I have always found your rooms to be extremely clean and functional for a person on the road, while your room rates are considerably below other locations in the area. I have always been treated very great by all your staff I've encountered.Your location is very convenient to my home office and to the Austin area, being just 10 minutes or less from downtown Austin. I've been traveling in my business for 30 years over most of the US, and can certainly recommend your motel to folks who like a very clean, family owned facility such as yours. I enjoy calling for a reservation and folks recognize me by my first name. That just doesn't happen with the chain motels that cost a great deal more per night.

This is a quiet, very clean, well managed hotel. All the folks involved in running it are really nice to us every time we stay there. You can actually get some sleep here it's not noisy all night. This is our favorite place to stay in Austin.

Boy was I surprised!
I am an entreprenuer who is working with investors in Austin to get my company funded. I figured Heart of Texas would be a "flea bag" based on the price, but beggars can't be choosers, and I'm definitely a beggar these days. I was surprised at the quality of the accommodations for the price. Nothing fancy, I grant you, but it's clean, convenient and friendly. As we say in the business - "it works"!

I stayed at your motel last fall and it was great!!!!! Clean and had all the stuff I expect....fridge and even a recliner....how many motels have that! Oh, and everyone was very friendly. I would stay there again if I make it back to Austin.
